Superarts is a family-run performing arts school, offering dance and theatre classes to the community of Elephant & Castle at affordable prices.
Dedicated to providing young people with life-enhancing, practical, and educative experiences, in a safe and non-judgemental environment, participants can try ballet, jazz dance, tap, musical theatre and much more.
Apart from the enjoyment and building of skills, students gain confidence, social and mental health benefits, self-esteem and a sense of responsibility and discipline.
To replace the studio-based classes that Covid-19 has interrupted, Superarts have created a #SuperartsStayTogether programme to keep their participants active and motivated.
The timetable of 40 minute online classes are open to anyone interested in dance and musical theatre as well as usual participants.
All the teachers involved have worked professionally in TV, film or theatre.
Weekly activities range from competitions, video and TikTok challenges, online classes and even a Super Dance Party.
Weekly challenges include learning a new song, creating choreography, or designing costumes.
Fun Fact Fridays build towards online quizzes, and on Saturdays live dance Warm Ups start the day off with exercise on Instagram Live. The Academy are also offering one-to-one private Zoom classes to develop skills in dance, singing or acting.
