Barking & Dagenham Place Partnership – Award Capacity Building

July 1, 2026

London Sport is looking to procure a Capacity Building Programme to support the Sport England-funded Barking & Dagenham Place Partnership. This is part of Sport England’s Place Expansion investment, which aims to tackle inequalities in physical activity through a long-term, whole-system, place-based approach.

The programme will support small and micro VCFSE organisations in Barking & Dagenham to better support inactive residents, strengthening their capacity and connecting them to the wider place partnership work.

We are inviting proposals from suitably qualified individuals, collectives, or organisations with strong local knowledge of Barking & Dagenham and existing links with the VCFSE sector.

About London Sport

London Sport is a not-for-profit organisation helping all Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives through being active.

Part of a national network, we champion physical activity in London’s most deprived communities, sharing insights, influencing decision makers and allocating funding to effect change.

In some parts of the capital, people live 12 years longer in good health than others. With physical inactivity being one of the leading risk factors for preventable ill health, we want to help every Londoner find their way to move more.
