Anil Manji, Head of Communications and Marketing at London Sport selected by PR Week as part of its prestigious 30 Under 30 list.
We are delighted to announce that London Sport’s very own Head of Communications & Marketing, Anil Manji, has been selected by PR Week as part of its 30 Under 30 Awards, which recognise high-performing young professionals from agency and in-house who have potential to become leaders of the future.
To date, Anil has been involved in a number of exciting high-profile campaigns, across several sectors, from the charity sector, to advertising, to Government communications.
In his current role, Anil heads up London Sport’s comms, taking a leading role on the charity’s PR, events and publications. This includes developing and driving key reports on important issues, most recently on the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on activity levels and behaviours in the capital, which has been essential to our outreach and advocacy programmes on behalf of the sector. To add yet another string to his bow, Anil also recently made his TV and radio debuts as spokesperson.
Before his time here at London Sport, Anil worked at ad agency Grey London, where he delivered an initiative for the United Nations, placing a ‘People’s Seat’ to represent the voice of global activists at a UN conference in Poland. This generated a global reach of over 1.3 billion and won a PR Gold Lion at the Cannes Festival of Creativity.
He then went on to work for the Civil Service where he was instrumental in a number of innovative campaigns across important societal issues, leading the Government’s International Women’s Day campaign, which turned the handwriting of British female changemakers into usable typefaces, as well as a number of climate focused campaigns, including the Government’s ‘Summer of Sport’ and ‘One Step Greener’ campaigns.
We’re very proud of Anil’s achievements to date and are so excited for the future.
