London, 03 October 2025 – London Sport is delighted to announce that nominations are now officially OPEN for the London Sport Awards 2026, the capital’s biggest celebration of grassroots physical activity and sport!
Now entering its tenth edition, the London Sport Awards will once again shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes who are transforming lives and communities across London through the power of sport and physical activity.
The ceremony will return to the iconic Guildhall, the heart of the City of London, where hundreds of guests will gather to celebrate the people, programmes and places making a difference.
This year’s Awards will be hosted by London Sport Ambassador and former GB Olympian Montell Douglas, also known as Fire from the BBC’s hit show Gladiators. Douglas, who helped ignite the audience at last year’s ceremony, will lead the celebrations and help honour those who go above and beyond to get Londoners more active.
New Categories for the 10th Anniversary To mark the milestone tenth year, London Sport has introduced two exciting new categories:
Safer Sport Award – celebrating best practice in safeguarding and the creation of safe, welcoming environments for people to be active.
Environmental Sustainability Award – highlighting initiatives and projects that use sport and physical activity to protect the planet.
These join eight returning categories, ensuring recognition for achievements across the full breadth of grassroots sport and physical activity in London.
Why nominate?
Nominating is quick, easy and free – and with ten award categories, there’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved. Finalists will not only receive two complimentary tickets to the action-packed Awards night, but they’ll also have their stories brought to life in a specially produced film, ensuring their impact is celebrated and shared far beyond the evening itself.
Celebrating London’s sporting heroes

The 2026 event promises to be even bigger, as London Sport marks a decade of celebrating the people who make sport and physical activity accessible to everyone.
