Alex has worked in sports for development throughout his professional career.

Alex Eagle said: “Sport has always played a pivotal role in my life, supporting me through personal challenges; these experiences underpin my commitment to ensuring sport and physical activity are available to all Londoners.

I’m looking forward to working more closely with the team at London Sport and making a real impact for communities across the capital.”

Jillian Moore, Chair of London Sport, said: “I am delighted that we have strengthened our Board with the appointment of our three new trustees, who bring with them a wealth of diverse, specialist experience. We are looking forward to working together to shape the strategic direction of the charity and accelerate efforts to help Londoners in the most deprived communities lead healthier more active lives.”

Debbie Weekes-Bernard, Deputy Mayor Communities and Social Justice, said: “Sport has an incredibly powerful role to play in breaking down barriers and bringing our communities together. It’s fantastic that we have been able to bring even more experience, diversity and knowledge to London Sport’s board of trustees with these three new appointments, as we continue to work together to improve the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of all Londoners through sport.”
