With just over a week to go until the London Sport Awards 2019, we’ll be focusing in on each of this year’s Award Categories to give you the inside track on each Award and the groups and people that are in the running.
Club of the Year
Club of the Year in association with Playwaze is one of our longest standing Awards categories at the London Sport Awards and celebrates the outstanding work of a grassroots club or project that makes a real difference through physical activity and sport.
Whether a traditional sport, an adapted activity, or something entirely new, the Club of the Year Award will shine a spotlight on clubs and projects that deliver great sport in the capital.
Club of the Year highlights those that deliver a great service to its users, but more than that, will go the extra mile to give the most benefit back to people and to London itself.
Playwaze
The Club of the Year Award is backed this year by Playwaze.
Playwaze Ltd is a technology company helping people to organise and participate in sport through active communities . They believe that technology can play a pivotal role in increasing participation & engagement in sport.
Playwaze connects players, organisers & activities together with a mission to simply make it easier to organise sport. They make it easier for organisers to invite players to their activities, easier for players to access those activities, and easier for players to connect and arrange activities between one-another.
