The Street League Skateboarding World Tour returns to the Capital

March 18, 2019

The world’s most prestigious skateboarding competition returns to London this May as the countdown to the sport’s historic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics continues.

The Street League Skateboarding World Tour London event will again be held at The Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 25-26 May, following the success of 2018’s inaugural competition.

Fans will once again get the chance to see some of the world’s best skaters battle it out for pride and prizes in a custom-built concrete skate plaza, designed to inspire innovative tricks and take skateboarding to new heights.

The competition features an exciting easy-to-follow format, anchored by instant scoring, resulting in down-to-the-last-trick ‘buzzer-beater’ moments that appeal to both die-hard fans and new spectators.

Tickets for the event go on general sale this Wednesday (March 20) but London Sport followers can purchase tickets now as part of a special priority ticket window.

About London Sport

London Sport is a not-for-profit organisation helping all Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives through being active.

Part of a national network, we champion physical activity in London’s most deprived communities, sharing insights, influencing decision makers and allocating funding to effect change.

In some parts of the capital, people live 12 years longer in good health than others. With physical inactivity being one of the leading risk factors for preventable ill health, we want to help every Londoner find their way to move more.
