Each year, physical activity and sport generates over £8bn of social value in London.

From savings associated with health prevention, to the increased subjective wellbeing enjoyed by participants and volunteers, physical activity and sport have the potential to make a profound, positive impact on the future of our city.

Active London – London Sport’s 2018 Engagement Event – will bring together stakeholders from across physical activity, public health, transport, urban planning, policy, environment, education and community engagement for the capital’s biggest event to date exploring the role of physical activity and sport in enhancing life for Londoners in every part of the city.

Building on the Blueprint for a Physically Active CityActive London presents a new vision that integrates physical activity and sport across some of the biggest challenges facing the nation’s capital. From physical and mental health and wellbeing to transport, the environment, and social connectivity, promoting physical activity can become the single most powerful intervention available to policymakers and strategists in creating a capital that will thrive now, and in the future.

Active London is designed for decision-makers, programme leads, policy-makers and innovators from across the breadth of physical activity, sport, leisure and associated industries. The event follows the successes of Most Active City in 2017, and 1,000,000 More Active in 2016.

Tickets go on sale today, with a special early-bird discount available until the end of July.

Join us at the KIA Oval on 28 September to explore how today’s physical activity initiatives can shape the health, wellbeing and prosperity of tomorrow’s London.
