The London Sport Board of Trustees challenge us, encourage us and work with us to raise the game for physical activity and sport in London.

They all share our passion for the impact grassroots physical activity and sport can have on the lives of Londoners.

Jillian Moore

Chair

Jillian is Global Advisory Practice Lead at Avanade, having previously led business units at Logica, Publicis Sapient, Slalom and Atos. She was also a member of the board of Trustees at Eduserv. She has worked in Digital Transformation in Digital Agencies, Consultancies and SIs and has worked with many markets including CPG, Retail, Sport and Financial Services.

Sally Benatar

Vice-Chair, Senior Independent Director and Safeguarding & Welfare Lead

Sally is a Fellow of the Forward Institute responsible leadership programme and has recently retired as a chief superintendent with the Metropolitan Police where she led the South West London command unit. She is experienced in strategic partnerships, community safety, safeguarding and leadership development.

Paul Benjamin

Treasurer

Paul was appointed the CFO at Microsoft UK in June 2017. In this role, Paul is responsible for all finance and accounting operations in Microsoft’s UK subsidiary and is a member of the subsidiary leadership team. Paul joined Microsoft in 2010 and has performed various roles as the Marketing & Operations Controller in the UK, CFO Netherlands in 2012, and Regional Finance Director for Western Europe in 2015.

Charlie Boss

Board Member

Charlie is Chief Commercial Officer at The Jockey Club. He joined The Jockey Club in 2021 from The Walt Disney Company, where he oversaw commercial activities in sport across Europe & Africa, as well as leading the ESPN team in London. Charlie also serves on the boards of City Racing and Britbet, as well as the NSPCC Sports Board and Racing Welfare Fundraising Committee.

Shaun Danielli

Board Member

Shaun is the Director of Population Health and Inequalities at Kings Health Partners and NHS South East London. He is also a Policy Fellow of the Centre for Health Policy at Imperial College London. He has worked for the NHS in London for the last 13 years.  Prior to this he worked in consultancy (PA Consulting and Cranfield University) and manufacturing (Airbus), having initialled trained as an engineer.

Paul Osborn

Board Member

Paul is the Council Leader for Harrow, a borough he has lived in for over 30 years, and was first elected to the Council for Pinner Ward at a by-election in 2001. He is also the Chairman of the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority which is responsible for three 2012 Olympic venues, as well as leisure venues and open spaces across London, Essex, and Hertfordshire. He is also the Executive Vice Chairman of Conservative Way Forward.

Andrew Selby

Board Member

Andrew Selby is a leading figure in the sponsorship industry with a proven track record working with commercial and sporting organisations. As the Head of Partnerships at Deloitte, he believes in the power of collaboration to unlock our collective potential. Andrew is passionate about the transformative impact that sport, activity, and culture can have on our lives and communities.

Tracy McCillen

Board Member

Tracey has over 25 years experience in national and international disability sport with in-depth experience in classification, inclusion and governance. Tracey is Chief Executive of UKSA and is a Trustee of Activity Alliance and the European Region of Virtus. Tracey is a Barrister, a Visiting Fellow at De Montford University’s CRISTAL Research programme and an examiner on the Sports Law and Business LLM. Tracey is a passionate advocate for equality and rights.

Ross Garrod

Board Member

Ross is the Leader of Merton Council, the south London borough he grew up in. He was elected to his role in May 2022, having previously served as a councillor from 2014 – 2018, and is responsible for overall political leadership and policy direction at the council. Ross is a full-time council leader, focusing his time on creating pride in the borough, delivering better, sustainable housing, and establishing Merton as a Borough of Sport. He regularly volunteers at community sports events, including the Junior Park Run in Mitcham.

Bevis Allen

London Sport Sub-Committee Member for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Bevis works for the Greater London Authority/Mayor of London as Programme and Policy Officer in Youth and Sport. He has previously worked for London Sport as Boxing Development Officer, supporting a number of local authorities and National Sports Governing Bodies. As well as currently being a professional boxing coach, Bevis has a huge passion for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. He has developed and delivered anti-racism workshops and recently designed a new anti-discrimination online workshop for England Boxing, where until recently he served as an EDI Consultant part-time in 2022. Bevis delivers anti-racism/discrimination and mental health workshops for community sports organisations and in UK Prisons. An accomplished speaker, Bevis has spoken at the House of Commons, and at UK Sports Anti-Racism Events amongst others.

Sania Haq

London Sport Sub-Committee Member for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Sania Haq specialises in diversity and intercultural research and has worked in this space for 12+ years. She helps her commercial clients in sectors such as sports, music and entertainment navigate and reach diverse audiences, and works closely with governments and non-profits to help them better understand and meet their socioeconomic needs. Sania has conducted extensive projects on participation and diversity within sport, for Sport England, London Sport and a number of NGBs.

Usama Yusuf

Board Member

Usama is an Investment Associate at Fair4All Finance, where he is responsible for managing and supporting several investments in the community finance sector. Usama is also involved in the due diligence of new investment proposals. Prior to joining Fair4All Finance, he was a Senior Investment Banking Analyst at Citi in the EMEA Industrials Team. He is a co-Founder of New World FC, a men’s-based community football club that competes across London. 

Yashmin Harun BEM

Board Member

Yashmin is the founding Chair of Muslimah Sports Association (MSA), a charity that aims to empower Muslim women through sports. Yashmin is also an Independent Non-Executive Director at British Fencing, elected Director at London FA, FA National Game Board member, FA Council Member, and Chair of Frenford and MSA WFC. She has over 20 years’ banking experience and currently works for SMBC BI, and has recently completed her Masters in Global Public Policy. Her most recent awards includes the Asian Woman of Achievement Award for Sports and The National Diversity Award in 2023.  

Alex Eagle

Board Member

Alex is the CEO and co-founder of The Running Charity, an award-winning mental health charity that has pioneered trauma-informed approaches and uses running to empower young people experiencing homelessness, multiple disadvantages, or trauma. Alex has worked in sports for development throughout his professional career.  

We work closely with Sport England and the Mayor of London’s sports division to ensure that our work is coordinated and compliments the efforts of the whole physical activity and sport sector in London.

In line with Sport England’s A Code for Sports Governance, we recruit and engage with people with appropriate diversity, independence skills, experience and knowledge to take effective decisions that further the organisations goals.
