Brent Active Together brings communities together for first neighbourhood event

September 8, 2026

Brent Active Together brought residents, community organisations and partners together for its first neighbourhood community event as part of the programme’s full Sport England Place Partnership award.

Held at the Jason Roberts Foundation, the event brought partners from Brent Active Together’s three focus neighbourhoods, St Raphael’s, Church End and Stonebridge, into one space, while giving residents the chance to find out more about the programme and the activities being developed through its upcoming test and learn work. It also helped introduce new audiences to the Jason Roberts Foundation and opened up the facility to new people and different ways of being active.

With organisations from across the community and health sectors, including Brent Health Matters, joining the day, there was a fun and welcoming atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for people to get moving in a way that worked for them. The event marks the start of a wider series of community events as Brent Active Together moves into the activation phase of the programme.

About London Sport

London Sport is a not-for-profit organisation helping all Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives through being active.

Part of a national network, we champion physical activity in London’s most deprived communities, sharing insights, influencing decision makers and allocating funding to effect change.

In some parts of the capital, people live 12 years longer in good health than others. With physical inactivity being one of the leading risk factors for preventable ill health, we want to help every Londoner find their way to move more.
