The Ashburnham All Ability Cycle Project brought inclusive, community-led cycling to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). With only around a quarter of disabled children taking part in sport and physical activity at school, compared to 41% of non-disabled children, the project set out to close that gap. Built on collaboration, accessibility and lived experience, it aimed to change perceptions of what’s possible for children of all abilities.
