We’re working with Brent Council, local partners, and local organisations to create a new community-led campaign that makes it easier, more enjoyable, and more accessible for people to be active in ways that suit their everyday lives.
This project will bring together local voices, stories, and ideas to build a trusted platform where residents can discover activities, find support, and feel inspired to move more – in ways that work for them.
To make sure the campaign truly reflects what matters to people in our local communities, we’re starting with one simple step: listening.
The vision behind this project: To nurture a thriving community where fun, connection, and wellbeing are integral to daily life. Supporting everyone to lead healthier, happier lives through joyful movement.

Connecting local patients with physical activity opportunities
London Sport, in partnership with the London Borough of Haringey and Welbourne PCN, is helping local people get active by connecting patients directly with community sport and physical activity sessions.
This exciting initiative makes it easier for healthcare professionals to signpost patients and supports the local community to lead healthier, more active lives.
London Sport has partnered with advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi to launch the ‘More Ball Games’ campaign, looking to unlock sport, play and physical activity for all. The campaign aims to lobby policymakers to take urgent action to remove outdated and restrictive ‘No Ball Games’ signs that stifle play, physical activity, and community connection across London and England.
Our Space for Girls project creates safe, welcoming hubs in key London communities for women and girls to be physically active.
The project aims to serve communities with low activity levels by transforming unused and non-traditional spaces into active hubs.
Space for Girls is a research-led project, with extensive community voice involved within its planning. Consortia of local communities and teenage girls were consulted to ensure the activities on offer were of interest to the target audience, and that the location of the projects were deemed safe and accessible.
The CommUNITY Space was a once-vacant shopping unit which has since been transformed into a wellbeing space which provides a safe and comfortable environment for the local community to be active.
There is a range of free activities on offer including yoga, dance, archery, table tennis, Zumba, boxing, and spin classes, as well as women-only sessions which have been created in consultation with local women and girls.
