Bringing grassroots glam to the London Sport Awards with new theme!

Two of the trophies for London Sport Awards 2016 winners

7th December 2017

As you are (hopefully) aware by now, the third London Sport Awards will take place on March 8 2018 at Wembley Stadium.

If you didn’t know that, 1. Where have you been?! and 2. Definitely check out our new categories! Anyway, once again the best of grassroots physical activity and sport will gather in celebration of all the great work that goes on in clubs, organisations and projects to make London a healthier and happier place.

But this time, we’ve got something new for you. This time, you don’t have to pick out a new set of high heels (they’re not good for your calves, we’re sporty remember!), or clean and polish your posh shoes, because we’re bringing grassroots glam to our awards with a Black Tie & Trainers theme.

This means we want people to wear their smartest suits and fanciest frocks but also don their trendiest trainers to really make this years event bigger, better and more special than before – plus, if you’re running late on the night, you’ll be able to get a jog on!

Nominations for the Awards close on 9 January 2018 and we’ve got 8 awards categories aimed at celebrating and rewarding the very best of physical activity and sport in London. Have a think and reward a person or project that you know is doing great things to help more people get moving!
