Meet our Marathon Runners! – Cort

January 8, 2018

Runner #6 – Cort Robson is our 6th 2018 London Marathon Runner. He’s a massive sports fan and looking forward to preparing for his biggest challenge to date

Hi, my name is Cort, I’m 25 and originally come from Bournemouth. After going to university in Exeter to study psychology, I moved to London around 4 years ago to start my current job at Football Radar. Day to day I analyse football in extreme detail, with one game taking up to 14 hours to analyse.

As you may have guessed my main hobby is football, playing for an 11 a side team on Saturdays at right back or centre back. I also enjoy watching pretty much every other sport and cycle to work every day.

The London marathon has always been on my bucket list as I believe it’s a great achievement and something everyone should try and do once in their lifetime, and it’s also a great way to raise loads of money for charity. I’m aiming to run it in around 3 and a half hours which I think is ambitious but achievable if I train enough (just need to get started on that…).

You’ll be able to spot me running the course – I’ll be the guy with the big pineapple tattooed on their ankle!

You can follow me on twitter, where I mainly tweet about my fantasy team and bake off. If you fancy sponsoring me then that’d be greatly appreciated! The link to follow is http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=CortRobson.”

About London Sport

London Sport is a not-for-profit organisation helping all Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives through being active.

Part of a national network, we champion physical activity in London’s most deprived communities, sharing insights, influencing decision makers and allocating funding to effect change.

In some parts of the capital, people live 12 years longer in good health than others. With physical inactivity being one of the leading risk factors for preventable ill health, we want to help every Londoner find their way to move more.
