London Marathon 2018 Meet our Marathon Runners!

27th October 2017

This year we have seven runners in the Virgin Money London Marathon

Each of our runners embarking on their training journey over the next six months will be raising money to support more disabled leaders in Sport. Let’s meet the first of our runners…

Alice Liddle

Who you are, where you come from and what you do for a living
I’m Alice! I am originally from Chorley, Lancashire and I’m the Project Support Intern for London Sport

What are your favourite sport or hobbies?
I have always loved running in my free time as I find it really relaxing especially if I’m running through a pretty park. I’m also very happy when I’m hiking in the Lake district with my dog. I also enjoy swimming and yoga too!

Why you have decided to run in the London Marathon?
The marathon is something I’ve always wanted to do and now is the best time! It’s my intern year in the city so I want to make the most of every opportunity! I like to challenge myself and this will be my biggest challenge yet!

Is there anything interesting we should know about you?
Alice in Wonderland was named after another person called Alice Liddle!

What you aim to achieve in the lead up to and during the marathon (it can be financial, personal goals or anything interesting!)
I want to push myself and achieve something I’d never imagine I could do physically as well as reaching my £1800 fundraising target.
