ClubWorks

12th September 2025

A £1.3m programme funded by the Mayor of London and delivered by London Sport, ClubWorks existed to help clubs of all types across London to access the training and support they needed to grow and thrive

The Clubsworks Project

Launched in 2015, ClubWorks was developed as part of a partnership between London Sport and the Mayor of London to help support London’s grassroots sport clubs to grow and develop, whatever their preferred sport or activity.

Between 2015 and 2017, ClubWorks supported more than 300 clubs across London to access skills and training in areas as broad as club finance, social media and marketing, research, coach development, inclusion and diversity, and partnership management.

Resources and Learnings

When the ClubWorks project drew to a close, project staff were integrated into London Sport’s Relationship Management Team.

This ensured the continued knowledge and support of grassroots clubs was applied to our work with local partners across London.

The findings from the project continue to inform our support and guidance to funders and partners.
