9th December 2016

London Sport are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for primary schools to take part in a regular running initiative. Our vision is for London to become the most physically active city in the world.

To make our vision a reality, we need to give the next generation every chance to make physical activity and sport a part of their everyday lives. Building regular running into the school day is just one of the ways to achieve this.

  • £15,000 in total available for primary schools in London to help develop regular running initiatives for pupils
  • Primary schools can apply for grants of up to £200
  • Deadline for applications 5pm on Friday 30 September 2016

We want to help increase the number of primary school aged pupils take part in regular physical activity through a regular running initiative, such as The Daily Mileand Marathon Kids programmes, as outlined in the Regular Running in Primary Schools document. The fund is now available to all London primary schools and is available as either a start-up fund for schools new to regular running, or as a refresher fund for those already taking part.

For more information, including key details and how to apply go to the Regular Running Fund for London’s Primary Schools page on our website.
