A quick look back at last weekend’s Challenge Cup Festival hosted by London Rugby League Foundation and Sky Try

Last weekend, hundreds of youngsters from all over the country, gathered in the capital to compete in a fun Rugby League tournament and get a real taste of elite Rugby League.

The event, which saw teams in a range of age categories and included many female participants, offered a perfect opportunity for players and coaches alike to unite in through the sport and develop their skills at the impressive pitches at The Hive – the weather wasn’t bad either!

After the tournament the squads headed to Wembley stadium, where their efforts were rewarded with a parade around the famous Wembley pitch, embracing the atmosphere which would soon erupt as the game commenced.

After the parade the teams took to the stands where they saw Hull FC defend their Challenge Cup title against Wigan in an exhilarating game that went down to the final play – an inspiring day all round!
