Brent Active Together: first in-person meeting

October 20, 2026

On Tuesday 13 October, members of the Brent Active Together (BAT) core working group and system board met in person for the first time at Brent Civic Centre.

Building on findings from our recent survey of all BAT members, we discussed how to refine our roles and responsibilities, our ways of working, sustainability models, and plans to develop a learning network.

It was great to have partners from education, the local authority, public health, charities, funders, Neighbourhoods teams, London Sport, Sport England and our monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) teams in one room, exploring how system change can help us tackle our two challenge areas.

We’ll come back together in six months to review progress and build on these conversations.

About London Sport

London Sport is a not-for-profit organisation helping all Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives through being active.

Part of a national network, we champion physical activity in London’s most deprived communities, sharing insights, influencing decision makers and allocating funding to effect change.

In some parts of the capital, people live 12 years longer in good health than others. With physical inactivity being one of the leading risk factors for preventable ill health, we want to help every Londoner find their way to move more.
