London Sport is proud to announce an exciting new collaboration with leading uk social change programmes NoTurningBack2020 (NTB) and Back2businessship Returners programme to support our vision of all Londoners living healthier and happier lives through being active.
The London Sport/NoTurningBack2020 Partnership
London Sport aims to become more representative of the capital by attracting a more diverse range of talent through the NoTurningBack2020 Early Careers Outreach & young Ambassador programme and the Back2businessship Returners programme.
Working through London Sport’s network, including schools and other partners, this collaboration with NTB will help drive awareness of sports marketing as a career of choice for young Londoners and encourage women returners back to their careers. Leading to positive change for future leaders within the grassroots sports sector. The partnership hopes to inspire more young Londoners interested in careers in sports marketing to become young Ambassadors for NTB’s early careers outreach programme. The partnership will also help London Sport build new connections to help Londoners live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
London Sport Marketing and Communications Officer, Qasim Zaidi, has joined the NTB Early Careers Outreach programme where he will be delivering presentations to a wide range of schools, colleges and universities across the UK, particularly those with large numbers of students from ethnic minorities, those eligible for free school meals, or those who are the first in their family to engage with higher education. The talks will encourage more people from diverse backgrounds to look at the marketing communications and sports marketing sector as a career of choice.
