With just weeks to go until the London Sport Awards 2019, we’ll be focusing in on each of this year’s Award Categories to give you the inside track on each Award and the groups and people that are in the running.
The Physical Activity for Health Award
The Physical Activity for Health Award in association with BBC Radio London focuses on projects, programmes, campaigns or initiatives that help to raise awareness and enhance the impact of physical activity on promoting good health.
The projects may target physiological health, mental wellbeing, health management or any of the wider outcomes supported by physical activity and sport.

The Physical Activity for Health Award is backed this year by BBC Radio London.
BBC Radio London is the capital’s radio station with journalist Vanessa Feltz hosting their popular breakfast programme covering London news, sport, travel and entertainment.
Robert Elms, Jo Good and Eddie Nestor all have regular weekday shows on the station which broadcasts on 94.9FM, Digital Radio, TV, online and mobile.
BBC Radio London broadcast the shortlist announcement live on Eddie Nestor’s drivetime show just last month – the first time a broadcast partner has revealed the successful nominees.
Who’s In The Hall of Fame?
The Physical Activity for Health Award was introduced for the first time last year with the Crystal Palace’s charity Palace for Life taking home the prize.
