London Sport announces new partnership with Exergame

London Sport announces new partnership with Exergame

Exergame, a leading supplier of interactive fitness and gaming products, has signed a three-year partnership with London Sport to support the charity’s mission of helping Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives through being active.

Over the next three years, Exergame will play a critical role in supporting a number of London Sport projects and demonstrate how technology, gamification and interactive fitness can help improve activity levels across the capital.  In particular, Exergame and London Sport will be creating spaces to help young Londoners enjoy being active and develop positive physical habits for life.

One of these projects includes London Sport’s Space for Girls initiative which will provide new spaces for girls to exercise in a safe and welcoming environment. Using technology including their interactive reflex training “Blaze Pods”, Exergame will support the project by supplying innovative products to engage more people in physical activity within these spaces.

Exergame will also be involved in a schools project will which see London Sport distribute £5.7m over the next three years to help schools open up their facilities outside of school hours. Exergame will again be providing products and offering specials discounts to schools to help them better engage young Londoners and the wider community in sport and physical activity.

This announcement follows previous successful partnerships between the two organisations. Last year, Exergame supported London Sport in the development of an interactive play area in Mottingham Library, and were an Official Partner of the Active London conference, which they will continue to sponsor over the next three years.

Exergame will also be sponsoring the Digital and Tech Innovation category at the annual London Sport Awards.

Tanya Rabin, London Sport’s Director of Commercial, Marketing and Communications, said:

“We are delighted about this long-term partnership with Exergame, a company that shares our commitment to helping people lead more active lives. Their expertise in technology and innovation will be critical to engaging new audiences in sport and physical activity and helping young people enjoy being physically active.

From their involvement in the Active London conference to our joint work helping activate a variety of spaces for young people, I am excited to see how this partnership will help Londoners find new ways to form positive active habits for life.”

Trevor Mills, Director of Exergame, said:

“We believe in London Sport’s mission and the transformative power of sport and physical activity, which is why we’re thrilled to be working with them to bring our technology into schools and other spaces in the capital.

Bringing together our collective expertise, innovation, and shared ambitions, we can make a real impact for communities across London.”
