A collaboration between the Physical Activity for Health Network and London Sport’s Community of Practice, exploring active ageing.
‘Physical activity can prevent fragility and support mobility in old age. By keeping active, both throughout the day and also through hobbies, we can slow muscle and bone decline, ultimately keeping us independent for longer’ – Professor Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer for England, (2019).
The agenda will feature some of the projects funded through the Sport England Active Ageing Fund including Escape Pain, Sporting Memories and Love to Move.
The meeting will hear details from London Sport’s Less Active Londoners segmentation and its potential role in supporting physical activity interventions targeted at older people Sport England will also share an update regarding their recently launched We Are Undefeatable campaign.
Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
