Disability Inclusion Community of Practice

  • This event has passed.

Enabling deaf and disabled people to be more active must be integral to our work if we are serious about reaching the most inactive Londoners.

One of the most effective ways of achieving this has been through the development of local networks. Made up of stakeholders from several sectors, these networks see the coming together of like-minded people and organisations intent on providing inclusive and accessible opportunities for deaf and disabled people to be active.

This Community of Practice session will showcase the best examples of how local disability networks have been developed and provide recommendations for how you can create or enhance your own local network. The session will be the basis of a regional peer-support network where you can share ideas and successes that contribute to the achievement of you own objectives, and those of your colleagues.

We will also be hearing from some of our partners looking to develop activities for deaf and disabled Londoners across London and presenting some exciting opportunities for collaboration.

We will be announcing all the speakers in the coming weeks.
