This Award is focused on projects, programmes, campaigns or initiatives that help to raise awareness and enhance the impact of physical activity on promoting good health among London’s population.

The role of physical activity and sport in promoting positive health and wellbeing is increasingly well understood, both in terms of physical health and wider outcomes.

The Physical Activity for Health Award is focused on projects, programmes, campaigns or initiatives that help to raise awareness and enhance the impact of physical activity on promoting good health among London’s population. Whether targeted physiological health, mental wellbeing, health management or any of the wider outcomes supported by physical activity and sport.

Nomination Criteria

The Physical Activity for Health Award highlights the greatest achievements in using physical activity to promote physical and mental health and wellbeing. This Award emphasises the vital role that being physically active plays in supporting health outcomes.

Successful nominations should:

  1. Highlight the role of physical activity in achieving one or more health outcomes
  2. Have had a primary or specific focus on London
  3. Demonstrate success in bringing together the health sector and the sport and physical activity industries
